SSFS Community Unlocks Full $500,000 Fund Our Scholars Match
Sandy Spring Friends School is thrilled to share that the community has raised approximately $721,000 through the Fund Our Scholars initiative, fully unlocking a transformational $500,000 matching gift from a private foundation.
Together, this extraordinary effort will generate more than $1.2 million in impact to support the future of SSFS and the students we serve.
This year's Fund Our Scholars aimed to strengthen the School’s long-term sustainability through endowment support, while the match was earmarked for helping sustain the vibrant educational experience that defines Sandy Spring Friends School today. The matching opportunity inspired an incredible response from across the community, with alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, students, and friends stepping forward with gifts of every size.
The School extends profound gratitude to the foundation that made the matching challenge possible and to every donor who helped bring the effort across the finish line.
This achievement represents more than a fundraising milestone. It is a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together in support of a shared future.
