Gnu Stories, the SSFS all-school newsletter, is sent bi-weekly on Fridays during the school year, and features stories that provide families with a snapshot of school life at SSFS and connects them to the wider community.
Spring Traditions Continue (and Return)!
PK4-1st grade students had their final spring meet-up with their Senior Buddies on May 19, where they gave their buddies homemade cards and bookmarks, played together on the playground, and wished each other well in their next adventures!
6th graders got a hands-on lesson in proposing and passing legislative bills on Thurs, May 26; in the morning they debated in House congressional committees, then joined together in the PAC to simulate Senate debate on the bills that passed.
For the first time since 2019, sophomores participated in this fun tradition, dividing up by history class to compete in (modified!) versions of the javelin throw, discus toss, and chariot races. The games culminated with a Sophomores vs. Seniors "tug of peace"!

Division-specific newsletters are emailed to SSFS families each Sunday afternoon during the school year and posted on the division-specific home pages on the Parent Portal. These newsletters provide messages from division heads and "must-know" calendar information about upcoming events for the week.
Parents and guardians must log in to the Parent Portal to access the division-specific home pages where the newsletters are posted.
