Jun. 13, 2021 CRT Corner:
The SSFS COVID Response Team (CRT) is an administrative group that meets to plan for and respond to COVID-19 aspects of the School’s policies, procedures, and programs. The CRT provides periodic updates for the community on its work via this newsletter feature, the CRT Corner.
- The School continues to evaluate ways that we can safely loosen up on some COVID-19 protective measures as vaccination rates increase and COVID-19 rates decrease. At this time, however, it is still a State of Maryland directive that face masks must be worn and social distancing observed in certain settings, including (but not limited to): Inside schools
- Inside at youth camps
- Day care centers
- Public transportation
- Any local business that requests/requires face coverings
So for the current time, face masks must be worn at SSFS on campus for the school or camp. This applies to persons on campus daily and also all visitors. The School will continue to evaluate what is permitted and what is practical as we move through the summer months.
- SSFS has announced that it will require vaccination for all employees and all upper school students for the fall. Details have been shared in an email sent to current and new families. An information session about the implementation of this policy will be held for interested families via Zoom at 7 pm on Monday, June 14th. Submit your questions in advance here. Zoom meeting information was sent to parents via email on June 9 and is on the parent portal.
- Campus residents (both employee and non-employee) who are eligible for vaccines will be required to obtain a vaccination for the start of school in the fall. Additional details will be shared directly with campus residents.
