Upper School Art Students Recognized

Upper School Art Students Recognized

By Shellie Marker, Upper School Arts

We’re proud to celebrate three of our talented arts students whose work has recently been featured in the broader community.

Original designs from Zoe Lide and Nora Sadek were selected for All Hands on Deck at the 2026 Fashion Showcase hosted by Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. The opening reception took place Thursday, February 26, at Lynn University. Zoe and Nora’s custom-designed decks will be incorporated into the exhibition’s set design and overall atmosphere, fully on display as part of this year’s theme exploring the intersection of skate culture and high fashion. With submissions arriving from around the world and fewer than 200 designs selected, this recognition is a significant honor.

In addition, Caitlyn Widener’s work was featured in a calendar produced by the Bureau of Economic Analysis at the U.S. Department of Commerce — an exciting professional achievement.

If you see these artists around campus, be sure to congratulate them — not only for earning these recognitions, but for having the courage to share their creative work with the world.

Or, as Springers call them, "Gnu Stories"

Since our mascot is the wildebeest—also called "gnu"—our community newsletter is similarly named and shares the stories of the inspiring people, purposeful programming, and energizing events that fill our lives throughout the year.
