Led by faculty coordinator Eduardo Polón and student team captain Greta Garrettson-Taylor (’24), this year’s SSFS Quiz Bowl Travel Team is rounded out by assistant captain Diego Zein (‘25), as well as Justin Carr (’26), and Nate Miles (‘26). The 2023-2024 SSFS Quiz Bowl Team has an impressive overall record of 21-3-2 (and counting), and they have advanced to the semifinals on It's Academic for the sixth time in ten years. Most recently, the travel team competed in Round 5 of the Montgomery Academic Beltway League (MABL). Victories over #4 Wootton and #5 Rockville, and a tie against defending champions and #2 Richard Montgomery, ensured SSFS’ qualification for the MABL Playoff Round.
