Let Your Voices Speak

Sandy Spring Friends School is excited to announce the launch of Let Your Voices Speak!

Inspired by StoryCorps, Let Your Voices Speak will be an audio archive with a focus on collecting, sharing, and preserving the stories of SSFS community members. Interviews will be conducted by current SSFS students and paired with archival photos to be shared on the School’s website and through its social media channels.

In sharing our stories with one another we forge new relationships; we strengthen our bonds as a community; and we are reminded that we, as individuals, exist as part of a greater whole. Through this exciting initiative we hope to build a bridge between past and present, merging the voices of current and former members of the SSFS community.

In the early phases of this project we would like to invite SSFS alumni and residents of Friends House to participate. As Let Your Voices Speak grows, we anticipate extending this invitation to current SSFS students, current and former SSFS teachers, parents, Board members, friends, and members of the Sandy Spring Meeting.

As our Sandy Spring Friends School community continues to grow, treasuring our past and curating it for the future is an important focus. We look forward to your participation in Let Your Voices Speak!
