2020 Community Play

We are thrilled to announce that the 2020 SSFS Community Play will be Matilda. Matilda is a musical based on the children's novel by Roald Dahl. It was adapted by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. 

Matilda is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. The show has performance opportunities for both children and adults. We are looking for actors in third grade and above. 

Performance Dates/Location

Thurs-Sat, March 5, 6, 7 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, March 8 at 2:30 pm 
SSFS Performing Arts Center 

No advance ticket sales. Admission is free. A $10 cash or check donation is very much appreciated and will be collected at the door. There will be one 15-minute intermission, and concessions will be available for cash purchase. The show runs approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes, including intermission. If this play were a movie it would probably be rated PG/G. See online photo gallery from the dress rehearsal.
