INTERSECT provides a forum for SSFS parents and guardians to explore topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusivity. All SSFS parents and guardians are invited. INTERSECT was the idea of many people within the community. Together, and through affinity groups, we can join together to support our students by making the school-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion commitment a reality at SSFS. Let’s help strengthen the mission of SSFS for all students and families. Come and socialize, learn, and share your voice! Questions? Email INTERSECT co-clerks Joanna Scott and Jen Ray at firstname.lastname@example.org.
INTERSECT, which began in the fall of 2018 as the Faculty and Parents of Students of Color, had its inaugural meeting as INTERSECT in the fall of 2019. Along with affinity groups, this forum was created to support our students and to strengthen the mission of SSFS and the commitment to school-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion. Subsequent events have included regularly-scheduled meetings for parents and guardians, along with special dinners and discussions around particular topics.
