Ready, Set, Bake!

Bring your tastiest homemade treats and compete for a coveted golden spoon in our first annual Great Quaker Bake-Off. Friends of all ages are invited to bake their favorite dessert to share with the community. Sample the treats and then join us for judging, at 1:30 p.m., to find out who gets bragging rights, a trophy spoon, and the title of Best Quaker Baker!

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: best student dessert, best staff dessert, best parent dessert, most creative, and best overall dessert. Bakers, please sign up here.

We kindly request that all desserts be tree nut-free and are accompanied by the recipe! 

Stretch, smile, and strike-a-pose at a family yoga session, led by SSFS parent and founder of Allay Yoga, Pamela Kaufman. Calling all bookworms and story lovers! It’s time for our third-annual book swap. Drop off those books you’ve read a hundred times, have outgrown, or simply will never get around to reading, or bring them the day-of. Book collection bins will be in each division the week of 11/3-11/7. Then come browse the selection of books at Friends Day to select some new-to-you books for you and your family. It’s 100% free, eco-friendly, and the perfect way to refresh your bookshelf without spending a dime!
