Dear Upper School Students,
It's been fun for me to zoom into a few Upper School classes over the past several weeks. Seeing you all reminds me of how important it is for all of us to connect with each other at the same time that we are finding connections between ideas (biology and history; poetry and math to name two examples) and connecting ideas with action (to make the world we want).
With each of us quarantined in our own spaces feeling stuck while moving forward, I've been listening to a lot of my favorite songs that give me hope and an understanding that we will get through this. And then it occurred to me, these times demand an SSFS Virtual School Soundtrack Project, where faculty and staff join me in sharing songs that alert us to the common bond we share, that have opened our eyes. We'll be sharing out videos on a weekly basis via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
