CALL for Tech Crew Assistance
Answer the call and don’t delay!
Have you ever wondered how a show comes together behind the scenes? Ever wanted to work with power tools? Want to see how lights and sound contribute to the magic of theater?
Our production of Disney’s Newsies! is seeking community members interested in joining our tech crew. A musical needs many hands to make it come together, and you can be a part of this thrilling process! Participating in our tech crew is eligible for service hours.
We are looking for the following as we bring our production to life:
- Community members/students to help build and paint our set.
- Community members/students to help build props.
- Community members/students to assist with costumes.
- Students to move set pieces and assist with costumes during the show.
- A student who would like to run our lighting console during the show.
Our community build day will be on May 2nd from 10am-5pm at the PAC scene shop. This day will be primarily to bring our set pieces onto the stage and assemble them. We will have jobs available of all sorts and for all skill levels such as set construction, painting, organization, and much more! If you are interested (and not a current cast member), email Felix Clarke to RSVP!
For students who would like to help run our show, attendance is required during our tech weeks: May 9th-21st after school; dress rehearsals, May 26th & 28th; and our performance dates, May 29th & 30th.
No prior experience is necessary, but is always appreciated. Safety equipment and instruction will be provided. If you are already a member of our cast, you do not need to fill out this form! Please email Felix and Dana at theaterproductions@ssfs.org with any questions. Other interested parties should complete this form to express interest.
We hope to have you join us!
