2021 Community Play

Announcing the 2021 Virtual Community Play:Virtual Vignettes!

Live Event: Feb. 12 at 7:15pm | On-Demand: Feb. 13

Join us for a virtual Community Play, featuring the talents of our Upper School and Middle School performing arts students! This year’s Community Play will feature short one act plays from All in the Timing by David Ives, and All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten based on the books by Robert Fulghum, adapted by Ernest Zulia. Each short play is a world unto itself. The collection of short plays will be at times thoughtful, at times heartwarming, at times laugh out loud funny, and always entertaining!  The show is rated PG, for brief reference to alcohol and dating.

Please join us as we view the premier performance all together as a community in real time on: Friday, February 12 at 7:15pm

Get Tickets

The performance will be streamed using the platform: The ShowTix4U. The show is FREE, even though it says “purchase tickets” or “rent video:”  Donations are welcome!

The show will also be available for on-demand viewing, anytime during the day of Saturday, February 13.  PLEASE NOTE: The show will NOT be available for sharing or viewing after February 13 due to our agreement with the licensing companies

A Conversation with Julie Borsetti

Lindsay Kellogg, Middle School Faculty and Director of Aftercare interviewed Julie Borsetti to get the scoop about this year's community play

The Community Play is a Sandy Spring Friends School yearly tradition. Although it will look different this year than in the past, it will still be an exciting evening experience for the whole community. To learn more about what to expect, how to sign-up and the process behind creating an entirely virtual play, Julie Borsetti, co-director of the Community Play, provided us an in-depth view.
