A Note From the AASC
Alumni Association Steering Committee
Friends,
We hope that you are enjoying your summer and are taking some time to relax and unwind. We’re happy to report that Alumni Weekend was a huge success. With perfect weather and the addition of two new events—a Former Faculty Breakfast and the Alumni Art Show—almost 200 Springers returned to campus! If you were able to attend, we hope that you enjoyed the weekend, made some new connections, and rekindled some old ones. If you weren’t able make it back, be sure to check out the pictures of the weekend HERE and mark your calendars for alumni and all-school events coming up this fall, including FriendsFest and the annual Alumni Soccer Games & Turkey Trot 5K.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

The construction of the new SSFS Upper School is proceeding on schedule and we've made huge progress since spring!

In June we bid farewell to Upper School English teacher Ariel Vorhees as she embarks on a new journey as a personal chef. Ariel took a moment to reflect on her time at SSFS. Learn more about her experiences and her newest venture here.

As part of SSFS’s continuing efforts to enhance our faculty's cultural competency, to support our international students and their families, and to strengthen our academic program, four members of the faculty and administration traveled to China for 12 days in June.

Thank you to the SSFS Parents Association for another hugely successful auction! This year’s Glowing Together: Spotlight On Our Scholars auction took place on Saturday, May 11 at the Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville.
With a total of 255 items and experiences up for grabs in a live, silent, and online auction, the auction netted over $112,000 to benefit financial aid at SSFS!

Recent visitors to www.ssfs.org may have noticed a fresh new look for our website! The redesigned site launched on Wednesday, June 26.
