Dear friends,

Greetings from Norwood Road! It is a pleasure to bring you this seasons newsletter. Spring at SSFS is giving us its usual temperamental temperature swings—the lower school students have not been able to put away their rain boots quite yet. Any given day you can see their little boots, all lined up on top of the fence posts in front of Walbrooke-Breiling.

Spring brings us the lifting of some of our covid restrictions. Thank goodness! In this edition, read about how our resilient dorm students have navigated covid together, about how Intersession shifted this year, about our new Head of Upper School, and about the various experiential learning opportunities our students had on campus this school year.

We are excited to share that each month of spring brought us opportunities to gather together on campus. In April we had our PA Auction—a yearly treasure of fun, laughter and philanthropy. In May we had a unique opportunity to gather for a Visioning Day where we looked forward to plan our strategic goals for the next five years. And now, in June, you guessed it, we have Alumni Weekend! If you haven't been to an Alumni Weekend before, this is the perfect time to come to campus and experience the joy—and celebrate 60 amazing years of SSFS.

Speaking of 60 years, we would love to hear how each of you are doing, and any SSFS stories you have as part of our 60 year anniversary that we could share in our next edition of our newsletter. Reach out to Brenna Ryan, Associate Dir. of Stewardship at or visit our our new Class Notes form. Also, if you haven't had the chance to make a gift to SSFS this year, get in contact with us! We would love to guide you to a gift that is meaningful to you. Just reach out to Lauren Mossman at, or 301-774-7455 x107, or visit our Make a Gift page.

We hope that the spring showers bring you a showering of peace and Light. Be well, we are looking forward to seeing you all soon.
