Tuition Payment FAQs

The enrollment deposit is paid online as the last step of the enrollment process. Families will set up their bank information in VC Pay (our online payment system) and then they will be able to pay the deposit online.

We require families who select the two payment plan or monthly plan to pay for tuition and incidentals through our electronic payment system, VC Pay. If you have any questions regarding payment options, please contact the business office.

We accept payment from 529 plans. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the allowable tax benefits and dispersing funds. If you wish to utilize a Maryland 529 Plan, please let the business office know so your payment plan in Veracross can be adjusted if necessary. Checks written from the family, or from the plan on behalf of the family, should be made payable to “Sandy Spring Friends School” and sent to the School’s address to the attention of the Business Office.

The first half of the bus transportation expense is billed in September (due October) and the second half is billed in December (due January). 

The bus transportation fee will be added to your student account and will be automatically billed through VC Pay Autopay.

If your student is in Preschool 3 through Grade 3, you have the option to enroll your student in Summer at Sandy Spring at a discounted rate on your enrollment contract. This option requires payment in full of the discounted rate for the full seven weeks at the time of enrollment. 

If you are not enrolling in Summer at Sandy Spring at the time of enrollment, billing and payment arrangements are made through the camp office (SASS.Camp@ssfs.org or 301-774-7455 ext.167).

Other parties can contribute to tuition via check. They can mail a check to the Business Office at the School’s address. Please make sure to let the business office know if a check is being sent by another party.

Tuition Refund Insurance is required for the Two-Payment and Monthly Payment plans. One-Payment plan families may contact the business office to opt-out (this is strongly discouraged) of the Tuition Refund Insurance.
