The Advanced Placement American History Class prepares students for the Advanced Placement United States History Exam as well as the SAT American History subject test. All students taking this class are required to take the AP Exam in May; the SAT subject test in American History is optional, although recommended.

The American History and Government Class prepare students for the SAT American History subject test. Taking the test is optional. Students in this class may take the Advanced Placement United States Exam with the permission of the instructor and the department head. Students choosing to do this must do extra preparation before the test is given in May.
