Welcome back to the start of a new school year! We've had great success with Giant A+ BonusBucks and Safeway (eScrip) programs in the past –Thank you for all your support! This year, we're adding Harris Teeter's Together in Education, Food Lion's Shop & Share, as well as Target's REDcard programs to give our community more choices and more opportunities to support SSFS. Funds earned by the PA this year will go to support financial aid at SSFS.

Grocery/education programs are an easy way for families to donate money to the school without spending any extra out of pocket cash! For each purchase you make at any of the participating retailers below, a % of what you spend will automatically be given to SSFS-it's that easy! Most programs do require you to re-enroll every year so we're counting on you to enroll again this year, either by filling out the downloadable flyer and returning it to the PA Office OR by using the links provided to register. If you choose to sign up to the perpetual list, every year until you notify the coordinator or school otherwise, your grocery card numbers (not debit/ATM/credit cards) will be renewed automatically on behalf of SSFS.

• Giant A+ BonusBucks: Purchases made between October and March using your Giant BonusBucks card will be included. Registration begins Aug 15. Go to http://www.giantfood.com/aplus and designate SSFS ID 007710 (you may designate up to 3 schools).

• Safeway (eScrip): In addition to your grocery card, you may also register one or more ATM/debit or credit cards (MC, Visa, AMEX, Discover) to SSFS. Participating merchants will make contributions to SSFS based on purchases made by you using these cards. Vendors include Safeway, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Eddie Bauer, Barnes and Noble, OfficeMax, Orvis, Buy.com and many others. • Harris Teeter Together in Education: We're excited to offer Harris Teeter’s TIE program to the SSFS community. Participants can link their VIC cards over the summer to begin as soon as the program starts – which was August 1, 2009! Link up to 5 schools to your VIC card. • Food Lion's Shop & Share program will also donate to the SSFS PA. Go to http://www.foodlion.com/IntheCommunity/ShopandShare/ just link your MVP card. No SSFS school ID needed.

• Target Take Charge of Education: By linking your Target REDcard (Target Visa credit card, Target Credit Card or Target Check Card) to SSFS, Target will donate up to 1% of your purchases to SSFS. Visit http://www.target.com/tcoe or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate SSFS, then use the REDcard when you shop to benefit SSFS. SSFS School ID is 7902.
