The Parents Association, in conjunction with the School, introduces FriendsNet an unmoderated e-mail network of parents, faculty, and staff of Sandy Spring Friends School!

The purpose of FriendsNet is to provide an opportunity for parents to share information that is not generally posted in the division-wide bulletin, as well as ideas about parenting.

We anticipate that parents will use FriendsNet to make requests for carpools or recommendations for driving schools; to mention items lost at school; to ask general questions regarding sports or other after-school activities; to discuss areas of parental concern such as chores; how much to oversee homework; how to plan fun and safe parties for children and for teens; or how to negotiate household rules.  Separate FriendsNet groups have been established for each division.

We hope and believe that FriendsNet will facilitate communication among parents and thereby function to strengthen our sense of community at SSFS.
