After Prom Committee
Enthusiastic Upper School Parent? Come help create a night to remember!
The After Prom Committee uses the guidance and resources of the Montgomery County's Post-Prom/Graduation Committee, the SSFS PA and enthusiastic Upper School Parents to create an exciting, safe, drug and alcohol free environment for students and their dates to hang out and have fun following the Prom. Parents of underclassmen staff this event until the wee hours of the morning. Truly a night to remember!

Community Service Committee
If you want to "let your life speak", this is the committee for you. The Community Service Committee is one of our most active and popular committees. It gives parents, students, and faculty an opportunity to help our local and global community. Past projects include blanket, boot and coat drives, mitten trees, blood drives and "Caring with Casseroles". Join this rewarding committee and help develop and coordinate these projects. You will be glad you did. See our latest news...

Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee is a network of SSFS parents working together to provide support to the SSFS Community by promoting increased awareness of diversity issues and events. The committee serves as a resource for SSFS parents, students, faculty, staff and board of trustees seeking support in promoting and maintaining the school's diverse environment where all feel safe, respected and valued for who they are. Assistance to the school is also provided in its continued efforts to recruit and retain a diverse staff and student body that is reflective of the world in which we live. Fostering intellectual, social and emotional growth for all is our goal, centered within the belief that "there is that of God in everyone." See our latest news...

Learning Differences Committee
The Learning Differences Committee was created to provide further information and support to parents regarding learning differences. It sponsors workshops and speakers and newly-formed online resources links. See our latest news...

Mailing Committee
Stuff it, Seal it, Mail it!
This committee is called into action whenever the PA has a mailing to go out. Many times through out the year committee members gather to fold, stuff and seal envelopes. Conversations flow easily as the envelopes are boxed. Who knew mailings could be so much fun?

New Parents Committee
This committee seeks ways to continue to welcome new families into the SSFS community and to provide extra support and communication throughout the school year.

Parent Education Committee
This committee coordinates parent education activities and presents an outstanding series of speakers on relevant parenting issues. The committee also sponsors the school's representative to the Parents Council of Washington and distributes Parent to Parent and a Community of Concern brochure on prevention of substance abuse.
