MS Trips > International Trips

During spring break, or early summer, the French and Spanish Department sponsors optional trips to international destinations. The trips are designed to provide a brief immersive experience in the target culture and language. Working with EF Tours, a well established student tour company, we have participated in trips that offer opportunities for sightseeing, visits to historical and natural sites, a brief language immersion, and some rest and relaxation. Spring Break/summer Spanish and French trips have visited or will visit the following destinations:

2001: French Language - Paris, France
Spanish Language - Yucatan Peninsula
2002: French Language - A Montreal trip was originally planned, but in the wake of September 11, 2001, enough participants withdrew so we had to cancel the trip.
Spanish Language - Costa Rica
2003: French Language - Paris, France
Spanish Language - Madrid, Spain
2004: French Language - Southeastern France
Spanish Language - Puerto Rico
2005: French Language - Northern France
Spanish Language - Spain
2006: Trips will be in June
French Language - France
Spanish Language - Guatemala

Our experiences with EF Tours have been very successful. Students have returned excited and motivated, having been challenged and enriched by their experiences. Trip groups present slides and stories at a school assembly several weeks after they return.
