CIAO Online
Online resource for international affairs from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs.

CultureGrams
Offers up-to-date country reports on more than 190 cultures of the world with facts and figures as well as perspectives on daily life, history, customs, and lifestyles of the world's people as well as individual states.

Daily Life Online
Information about social history, folklore and daily life around the world and through time. It is searchable by subject, region and time period. Content includes Greenwood Encyclopedia of Daily Life, Daily Life Through History, Cultures and Customs primary source material, illustrations, maps, access to 33,000 pages of information.

Grolier Online
Features six databases: Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, quick reference geared for middle and high school students; La Nueva Enciclopedia Cumbre, an encyclopedia for Spanish speakers and Spanish-language students; New Book of Popular Science, in-depth science information, plus science in the news; Lands and Peoples, up-to-date information for country and state reports, plus Mexican state articles in Spanish; America the Beautiful, state-by-state history and current events; and Amazing Animals, succinct information on a wide range of animals for students in grades 4-9.

Oxford Art Online
Web access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art and The Oxford Companion to Western Art. Has ongoing additions of new and updated articles, over 1,500 thumbnail art images and line drawings displayed in the text of articles, extensive image links, and sophisticated search and navigation tools.

Oxford Music Online
An integrated music resource, including the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, it is updated annually. "The mothership of musical scholarship offers links to nearly 50000 articles, images and sound files from 6000 contributors".

HornBook Guide Online
Includes critical reviews of books for children and young adults.

JSTOR
An online archive of digitized (scanned) back issues of several hundred well-known scholarly and academic journals dating back to 1665. Does not include the most recent issues

Oxford English Dictionary
One of the most comprehensive English-language dictionaries online.

Pop Culture Universe
American and world popular culture searchable by decade covering fashion, food, music, literature, and sports among other topics.

ProQuest Historical Newspapers
Offers full-text and full-image articles for newspapers dating back to the 18th century, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and The Christian Science Monitor.

ProQuest Platinum
A comprehensive collection of 2,200 magazines and newspapers offering children’s titles and general reference periodicals as well as scholarly journals addressing advanced subject matter. Researchers at any level of expertise can search by keyword, Boolean logic, topic, or publication.

Science Resource Center
An in-depth, curriculum-oriented science database for research needs. It reflects curriculum trends and focuses on key concepts taught in school classrooms such as earth science, science history, life science, physical science, science and technology, space and much more.

SIRS Knowledge Source
A database portal comprised of ten distinct reference databases: SIRS Discoverer and SIRS Discoverer WebFind (general reference and Internet sites for grades 1-8); SIRS Researcher and SIRS WebSelect (general reference and Internet sites for grades 6-12); SIRS Renaissance (architecture and design, culture, literature, multimedia, music, performing arts, philosophy and religion, visual arts); SIRS Government Reporter (health, science, economics, environment, politics, foreign affairs, business and industry); SIRS Decades (primary and secondary source articles highlighting key events, movements, people, and places in 20th-century America.); and SIRS Government, SIRS World Affairs, and SIRS Economics, a suite of interactive books organized by chapter.

World Book Online
Provides a general encyclopedia that is useful for a wide range of age and ability levels. Includes preselected WWW sites appropriate for curriculum topics as well as a monthly feature and a current events section.
